The start of the show is a sight to behold as the castle doors open to reveal the incredible sight of the opening procession from the Massed Pipes and Drums and the Massed Military Bands.
Marvel at the formations and admire the timing and precision as the band marches across the drawbridge and into the arena whilst performing rousing battle tunes from Scotland’s military regiments.
ArrocharArrochar is set amongst beautiful scenery and sits between mountains which lead down into the sea of Loch Long, which was used as a torpedo testing site during WWII. It’s an excellent base for enjoying the great outdoors and a great destination for your next break.
It’s situated near the Arrochar Alps and the Argyll Forest Park making it very popular with mountain climbers and walkers. There are also some gentle forest walks laid out by the Forestry Commission.
Not too far away is Loch Lomond Seaplanes and Argyll Voyageur Canoes with the big cities of Glasgow and Stirling about an hour’s drive away.
