Holiday Insurance
At ukbreakaways, we always do everything we can to ensure your short break runs as smoothly as possible from start to finish. For this reason, we strongly recommend you take out holiday insurance to help ensure you are prepared for the unexpected.
To provide you with a travel insurance policy designed with our customers in mind, we have teamed up with specialist insurance providers Towergate Chapman Stevens. Some of the benefits of our insurance policy include:

All durations of short breaks - £7.95 per person
Children 2 to 12 yrs receive 50% discount off the premiums above
Please note: All premiums are inclusive of 20% IPT.
If you take out this insurance when booking your holiday the price of the insurance premium will be added to your holiday cost. Your statement of cover and status disclosure document will be sent to you with your booking confirmation.

Important
You may already possess alternative insurance policies for some or all of the benefits provided by this product. It is your responsibility to investigate this. We will not provide you with advice about the suitability of this product however we are happy to provide you with factual information to help you make an informed choice. All policies have exclusions and restrictions to them. It is very important that you understand these and only purchase the policy if you are happy that you and every member of your party meet the eligibility criteria.
Residency
If you or anyone else named on the policy has not been a resident in the UK for the past 6-months our policy cannot cover you.
Significant Exclusions:
- Where the claim amount is the same or less than the excess.
- Travelling against the advice of your GP.
- If you no longer wish to travel.
- Any pre-existing medical conditions that have not been declared to the insurer where you are travelling to destinations outside of the United Kingdom, the Channel Islands, the Isles of Scilly & Republic of Ireland.
- Any pre-existing medical conditions that have not been declared to the insurer where you are traveling within England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, Channel Islands, Isle of Man and Republic of Ireland where you are unable to comply with the Health Declaration included the policy Terms & Conditions.
If the policy does require you to declare your pre-existing medical conditions then you will need to call Towergate on 0344 8921698. It is your responsibility to declare your pre-existing medical conditions when required. Failure to disclose may result in any claim being declined.
Sports & Hazardous Activities
If you intend to take part in any sports or hazardous activities please call us. We will contact Towergate on your behalf to confirm whether the policy can be extended to cover your planned activity or activities. Additional terms and premium may apply.
The policy also contains the following main exclusions:
- Any existing medical conditions unless they have been declared to and accepted by the insurer.
- Your participation in any sports. Manual work or hazardous activities and work during the trip unless they have been declared to and accepted by the Insurer.
- Suicide or the wilful exposure to exceptional personal risk.
- Stress, anxiety or depression unless it has been diagnosed as such by a consultant or expert in that field.
- Travel against the advice of the carrier, any other public transport provider, the Foreign Office or the World Health Organisation.
- Riding motorcycles where the engine size exceeds 125cc.
- The bankruptcy / liquidation of the tour operator, travel agent or transportation company with whom you have booked your trip.
Cooling-off period
If upon receiving your policy, you decide our insurance does not meet your requirements, you can cancel for a full refund by returning it within 14 days of issue or before travelling (whichever is sooner), providing you have not made a claim.
